Relic Rooster Caster
Confession time. This was not originally meant to be a "relic-ed" guitar. I was experimenting with some different paint types, trying to blend them. Well, I got a bad reaction and it wound up buckling the paint in a really horrible way. I almost stripped it and started over. But then I noticed that it kind of looked like an old piece of barn siding or fencing that had been sitting out in the sun too long. With the current trend to do "relic" guitars, I thought I might as well build off that. And what belongs in and around old barns? Roosters. I decided on a more traditional looking rooster. Kind of serious and stern. Like a weathered old guy that's seen his share of storms.
The finished product looks weathered and beaten up, but it has a brand new glossy finish.
This was sold in early 2024. I did a full build-out of a guitar with this one. It has a solid walnut neck that looks great on it, along with a see-through pick-guard and chrome humbucker pickups and hardware.
